The Google Advertising Professionals Program has been replaced with the new Google AdWords Certification Program. With this change the qualification criteria has also altered.

With the Google Adwords Professionals certification program changing, current Google Advertising Professionals will have a 6 month grace period to meet the new criteria put forward to complete, in order to hold onto the certified status. ACMA has accepted an enforceable undertaking offered by Virgin Mobile, following an investigation into alleged breaches of the Spam Act.

As a result, Virgin Mobile must establish new training programs, quality assurance processes and auditing procedures after an investigation into emails it sent opt-out customers, and has agreed to pay $22,000.
